VCI (vapour corrosion inhibitor) shrink wrap/poly is made with a chemical formula that causes it to release rust inhibitor molecules onto all metal surfaces, ferrous as well as non-ferrous, and stop the corrosion process. When your product is properly packaged for long term storage, it is able to be stored outside, in the elements, for over two years and still maintain it's original appearance. Upon removal of the shrink wrap, the rust inhibitor chemicals will evaporate, leaving you with a clean, dry, corrosion free product. No need to scrub or wash.​
